Max's Journey to Recovery
On September 23, 2023, a life-altering incident struck our dear friend, Max Bauer. Max, a dedicated member of the security team at First Avenue, was doing what he does best – looking out for others. After his shift, he was walking a colleague to their car when a distracted driver ran a red light, sped up, and hit him, launching him several feet into the air. Other pedestrians bravely intervened, stopping the driver from leaving the scene. The incident has left Max with significant injuries, including a serious head injury, a broken clavicle, a fractured leg, and deep bruising. Unfortunately, the driver responsible has minimal insurance coverage and no assets. Max's family has hired a lawyer, but it's uncertain whether any settlement will be enough to cover even the ambulance and medical fees. Max now faces ongoing physical therapy and treatment for a traumatic brain injury, making it impossible for him to work for at least the next few months.
