This is my soul dog Max. He is 15 years old. In December, he quickly started developing a cataract that became problematic. Over the following six months, we had multiple visits to the veterinary ophthalmologist, where he was diagnosed with uveitis, dry eye, and now some instability with the lens in his left eye. He has been on multiple eye medications up to 4x a day during this time and still has experienced flare-ups of uveitis. During these flare-ups, he’s very painful and becomes really sad, doesn’t want to get out of bed, keeps that eye shut, is very sensitive to it being touched, and doesn’t even care for treats (if you know Max, he’s ALWAYS down for a treat).

Because of this, I’ve made the difficult decision to get his left eye surgically removed in hopes that it will improve his quality of life and I can have many more happy years with my old guy. His surgery is scheduled for 6/11/25. With just having done a dental procedure with 8 extractions on Mouse, I am looking for any amount of help, whether that be $1, $5, or even just a share.
