Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out during one of the hardest moments of my life.

Recently, my dogs Max (a terrier mix) and Dior (a German Shepherd) were on a normal walk when a neighbor’s pitbull broke out from under their fence and attacked Max without warning. The attack targeted his chest and abdominal area, and we rushed him to the emergency veterinary hospital immediately.

The veterinarians are deeply concerned that Max’s abdomen may be ruptured, and they have told me there is a real chance he may not survive without urgent, extensive medical intervention. He is currently undergoing imaging and evaluation, and surgery may be necessary to save his life.

This has been emotionally devastating. I am already under significant stress, and hearing that I could lose Max — on top of facing overwhelming emergency medical costs — has been incredibly hard to process. The estimated cost of care and possible surgery could reach up to $10,000, and any support would help ease the financial burden so I can focus on being there for him.

Max is not just a dog — he is my family. He is gentle, loving, and did nothing to provoke this attack. I am doing everything I can to give him the best chance possible, but I cannot do this alone.
