Hi everyone,
We’re reaching out because we recently welcomed an 11-month-old Golden Retriever named Max into our family. Max was facing the heartbreaking decision of being put down by his previous owner, due to undiagnosed hip problems, but we couldn’t let that happen. After a few vet visits, we learned that Max has a severe case of hip dysplasia and requires two back to back FHNO surgeries (Femoral Head and Neck Ostectomy)to assure he lives a happy, healthy and pain free life.
The cost for these surgeries is $8,500, and it’s an expense we hadn’t anticipated. We’re doing everything we can to help him, but we need your support to make it happen.
If you can donate, any amount will go directly toward his surgery and recovery. If you’re unable to donate, simply sharing this post would mean the world to us and Max.
Thank you for your kindness, support, and for helping us give Max the second chance he deserves.
Here’s a quick break down of what the funds are covering for both surgeries:
- All surgery-related costs (anesthesia, hospital exam, IV fluids, pack & gown, epidural/nerve block)
- Overnight hospital stay
- Pre and Post day of surgery x-ray
- Follow-up x-ray (6-8weeks post surgery)
- 2-week post-surgery check-up
- All necessary medications (at the hospital and at home)
- Pre-op blood work (first surgery only)
