Help My Man Max Get Back on His Feet After His Van Was Stolen
Yesterday, March 17th, Max came home after spending time with his grandson. It was a normal, happy day—until he pulled into the driveway and realized something was wrong.
His van was gone.
Not just a vehicle… but a piece of his life, taken in an instant.
That van was everything to him. It was our home away from home—the place that carried us through some of our best memories. From mountain bike trips across Colorado and Arizona, to simple days spent outdoors, it held the life we built together. Even our dogs knew it as their special place, the start of every hike and adventure.
But what hurts the most is what that van meant to everyone else.
If you know Max, you know he is one of the most selfless people you’ll ever meet. For over 6 years, he’s used that van to give back—hauling donations, loading and unloading for hours, making sure people in need had something to hold onto. He never asked for anything in return. He just showed up, again and again, because that’s who he is.
That van made all of that possible.
It’s also where he kept the few things he ever allowed himself—his biking gear, his camping gear… the little pieces of joy he worked hard for. Max is not someone who spoils himself. Everything he has, he’s earned—and most of what he gives, he gives away.
To see it all gone like this… it’s heartbreaking.
I’m asking, from the bottom of my heart, for help. Not just to replace a van, but to help Max get back to the life he loves—the life where he gives, supports, and shows up for others without hesitation.
If you’ve ever known his kindness, felt his generosity, or just believe in good people who deserve a break—please consider helping.
Every single bit means more than you know.
We love you all so much. Thank you for being here for him when he needs it.
Cass
