Hi everyone, and thank you for taking a moment to read this.
My name is Bobby — folks around here call me “Owl Head” — and I’m reaching out because my best friend, Max, needs help.
Max is my 9-year-old dog, my shadow, and truly my family. For the past several months, since May, Max has been battling chronic anemia, a serious condition that requires ongoing testing, expensive medications, and close monitoring. We’ve been working closely with a veterinary hospital and were blessed to receive support from their compassion fund, but those resources have now been fully used — and Max still urgently needs care.
I’m 83 years old and living on a fixed income, with no family to help shoulder these costs. I’ve put every bit of savings I had toward Max’s treatments. I’ve skipped meals, gone without things I need, and done everything I can because Max has always come first. He’s been my constant companion through some of the hardest years of my life, and I can’t give up on him now. But I’m at a point where I simply can’t keep up with the medical bills alone.
Why We Need Help
Chronic anemia is not a quick fix. Max requires:
• Regular bloodwork and monitoring
• Specialized medications
• Follow-up vet visits
• Occasional emergency care when his levels drop dangerously low
These costs add up fast, and without treatment, Max’s condition can become life-threatening.
How Your Help Makes a Difference
Every donation — no matter the size — goes directly to Max’s medical care.
Your support means:
• More time with my boy
• Relief from the fear of having to choose between treatment and going without necessities
• A chance for Max to live comfortably and continue fighting
From the Bottom of My Heart Asking for help is hard. But Max deserves every chance, and I’m humbled to reach out to others who understand what it means to love an animal like family. If you can donate, share, or even send a kind word, it would mean more than I can express.
Thank you for caring about Max. Thank you for helping an old man keep hope alive for his best friend!
With gratitude,
Bobby (“Owl Head”) & Max
