Help Max Fight as Long, Hard, and Best as Possible

My cancer battle has taken a tragic turn. The cancer spread to my liver and lungs and now has no currently known cure. My cancer is not currently curable. We are fundraising for moonshot treatments. And we need all the help we can from familiar faces and strangers.

There is hope for a few treatments in development with trials may be coming in the future. I will be doing everything we can, wherever we have to go, to fight for a miracle. I promise to fight as hard, long, and best I can for as long as I can to be healthy enough for those treatments that may work magic. This money goes to travels and trials at MD Anderson in Houston, Texas, and possibly further trials as far as Munich, Germany.

What weighs on me more than anything is the long-term effects this could have on my family, including financially. I hear everyone asking me to fight as hard as I can, try the moonshot treatments, have family/friends come from far away to be by my side, or maximize my remaining time with those bucket list moments. But I also carry unimaginable guilt on what that could do to my family during this time and after I’m gone.

This GoFundMe is designed to fund all possible moonshot treatments that may extend my life or save it. It is also designed to help make my remaining time as enjoyable and fulfilling as possible with bucket list moments - big and small - for me to savor with family and friends. I want to make life-defining memories that will define my remaining time on this planet and moments that will long be remembered by my friends and family long after I’m gone.

I ask that you give what you can. If you can’t or rather not give, I understand and that is totally fine. I ask that you share with your networks or anyone you think may be inclined to give. Everyone knows someone, and networks are indescribably powerful. Every dollar counts and every donation means the absolute world to me and my family. I know It’s an audacious goal. I always have believed in dreaming big, and now is the time to dream the biggest.

More updates to come. For now, any donation and sharing privately or widely means a WORLD of DIFFERENCE. It really helps save and make a life meaningful. I want to make a maximum difference with the time I have. I’m still working through what that means, but so deeply love and am eternally grateful for all of you around me that will each be there for me and with me and to carry part of my story in the years and years ahead.

Anything left over will be donated to Rectal Cancer Research to find a cure and Make a Wish Maryland to provide bucket list experiences to deserving children.
