Help MAWTINI (My Homeland) Make It To MĀORILAND
Donation protected
My name is Fateema & I am a P@lestini@n/Canadian filmmaker based in Tkaronto. This past year & a half has been filled with so much grief, rage & heartbreak for G@z@ & I've been working hard in community to do everything I can to support my people on the ground with fundraisers through Shway Shway Collective, speaking out every time I have a microphone in my hand at a Q+A, attending protests, taking political action & donating funds.
In this time of immense pain for the P@lestini@n community I have also witnessed a global awakening & have been blessed to be supported by Indigenous kin from all over the world.
I wrote my short film Mawtini (My Homeland) pre-0ct0ber 7th & it was birthed into the world shortly after the gen0c!de began. Now I have the opportunity to represent my work at Māoriland Film Festival- the world's largest celebration of Indigenous storytelling, but I need your help to make it from Turtle Island to Aotearoa.
Being able to celebrate Indigenous films from all over the world & gather in meaningful community will be immensely healing & transformative for me as a P@lestini@n & as a filmmaker. All funds raised will cover flight expenses, accommodation & food along the journey.
I'll be happy to share my travels with you through Khafeef Dam Productions social media & I thank you in advance for supporting me as an artist fighting for a Fr33 P@lestine through my work.
