Hi everyone. My name is Mavis. I was born with the cards stacked against me, but I have proven that I'm a fighter. I was born deaf and with a cleft nose/lip. My first family didn't want me so I had to find a new family when I was 2 months old. I'm happy with my new family now and trying my best to become the fastest dog around. The only thing stopping me are my bad knees, especially my left one. That's what brings me here. The doctors have told my family that they can save my leg with two separate surgeries. One done now and the other done when I stop growing (I'm 6 months old now). The doctors told my family that the surgery should be pretty successful too since l'm so small (I only weigh 2 pounds!).
