The Mavis Bank Home Care and Benevolent Society in Mavis Bank St. Andrew Jamaica is a nonprofit organization and volunteer group established in Mavis Bank on January 2, 1993. It’s motto states “ show you care do your share” . It is registered with the government of Jamaica and is operating with transparency , accountability, credibility , integrity and trust for over 32 years . The Home Care and Benevolent Society is a non-political, non-profitable and non-denominational organization and is the only registered nonprofit organization in the area of Mavis Bank . It has been helping the community in Mavis Bank which includes 20 districts in Mavis Bank St. Andrew Jamaica , helping the mentally challenged ,homeless , elderly .Every month the organization provides hot meals for the mentally ill at the Mavis Bank Health Center along with food packages, ,toiletries , personal hygiene items, care packages and annually Christmas dinner that feeds over 200 people .

The organization provides diapers , commode , walkers , wheelchairs and personal care packages for the shut-in clients who are unable to move around to help themselves .

In light of the recent devastating natural disaster, Jamaica has just experienced a catastrophic category 5 hurricane and people are still displaced and are unable to access food and supplies such as non perishable items and personal care items . In addition , due to the impact of the hurricane it has profoundly affected countless lives and there is no electricity , roads are cut off from several communities and several houses have been severely damaged due to the natural disaster, however , we also will be sharing some of our care packages , personal hygiene care ,and donations that we received with our neighboring parishes : St. Elizabeth, Westmoreland and Montego Bay .

Furthermore , the Home Care Society is reaching out to implore your support in providing urgent assistance to those in need providing them with the essentials needed to rebuild their lives. The sheer magnitude of the devastation has left many families without shelter , food and basic necessities and we believe that together we can make a significant impact in their recovery journey.

Lastly, the aid of this go fund me is to provide relief to the members of the community and its environment and bring hope and healing to our community and country.
