June 17, 2022, changed our lives forever.

Our 3-year-old son Maveryc Breece was diagnosed with b-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL).

Words cannot even begin to explain what it feels like to be told your child has cancer. We wake up every day wishing this was all a nightmare, but unfortunately, this is as real as it gets.

Maveryc had begun both in-patient and out-patient chemotherapy. We were admitted to the Toledo Children’s ICU on 7/8/22 after a short stay at home. As of today (7/19/22), he was life flighted to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus for additional procedures and care.

While the prognosis for ALL is favorable among other cancers, the outcome is very unknown. We have an uphill battle to fight and can use every prayer and good thought.

So many people have sent gifts for the kids, gas cards, and other things, and the support we are receiving is appreciated more than I can ever explain. While it has taken us a while to share publicly, it’s something that needs to be done.
