Sadly Brianna, Cody, Ariel and Riley's sweet Maverick was attacked by another dog and has to have at least one more surgery on top of the ones he already had. He has a broken leg and what they thought was just a sprain now needs pins to repair. He is the sweetest little farm dog ever, Maverick is part of the family. Vet bills are climbing and they could use any bit of help to help Mav get the best care, and more years as a part of the family.

Bend, OR has the only vet that will do the surgery Maverick needs, Brianna will be traveling there today and its unknown how long they will have to stay. Also prayers the surgery goes well and Maverick comes out on top!

After 4 hours of sleep and 9 hours in the truck my heart is tired and heavy. Unfortunately the quote for surgery Bend gave us is much much higher than anticipated.. and it could still fail. They also found an infection in the joint. We are now discussing whether the best route would be to amputate the leg .

I’m incredibly grateful to each and every person who has donated to Maverick’s go fund me . I wish our goal number was all we needed but today’s quotes were hard pills to swallow.

My momma and I ventured down to Bend to pick Maverick up and bring him home for the night. He is booked for surgery in the morning to amputate the dislocated leg that won’t stay reseated . I know Maverick will be able to have a happy life after this procedure but it is sad to know his handstand peeing days are over. Keep my boy in your thoughts and prayers tomorrow that the procedure goes well .
