After working for 10 years at a job I loved, I was devastated when the business closed its doors after 11 years. Since then, I’ve been doing everything I can to find new work, but my unemployment is still pending and I have no income to cover my rent or bills. I’m actively applying for jobs every day, but so far, nothing has come through.

It’s been a really tough few months, both financially and emotionally. My own family isn’t able to help me, and I’ve been feeling sad and overwhelmed by the uncertainty. I want to be clear that I’m not struggling because of drugs or alcohol—just some hard times and bad luck. I’m reaching out because I truly have nowhere else to turn.

Any funds raised will go directly toward my rent and phone bill, which are most important so I can keep my home and stay available for job opportunities. They’ll also help with gas and basic living expenses while I search for work. I know I’m not perfect and I’ve made mistakes, but I’m trying my best to get back on my feet.
