Help Maurice Receive Treatment

Hi, my name is Amanda, aka Maurice's better half. =)
Back in January 2020 Maurice got sick. We didn't think too much of it. It wasn't until April 2021 that we realized something wasn't right. He was feeling sick at least once a month. He was always tired, and his chest hurt so much, he couldn't lay down. Then in August 2021 something changed. He couldn't breathe, and the chest pain kept him up at night. If he tried to lay down, he felt like he was drowning. His fatigue made it so he couldn't stand for more than a few minutes at a time. We knew something was wrong and sought help from a multitude of specialists... cardiologist, 2 pulmonologists, immunologist, neurologist, rheumatologist, and the list continues to grow. The amount of testing and imaging that has followed could fill our bookshelf. After all these appointments, tests, scans, blood work, and procedures... nothing. They can't find anything. Through our own research and timeline, we realized that Maurice didn't just get sick. He was one of the first individuals infected with Covid-19. Every doctor we talked to agrees he MUST have had Covid-19 in January 2020, and is now one of the many suffering from what has been referred to as "Long Haulers". Though he was sick 3 months prior to testing availability to the general public. Because of this lack of a positive test, he has been unable to receive a formal diagnosis, and is left to manage his care and treatment on his own. Managing the communication between all the doctors, maintaining records of everything accomplished, and attempting to do solo research into the matter is enough to make anyone's head spin! We have learned from others experiencing the same hardship, that many have undergone hyperbaric oxygen therapy treatments and experienced life changing results. Many if not all of their symptoms are greatly reduced, and they can resume most of their normal daily activities. Unfortunately, Maurice hasn't been able to work due to his condition since August 2021 and my income barely provides for our daily needs. This treatment is not covered by insurance, and for medical grade therapy sessions, is a large out of pocket expense that we simply cannot afford on our own. We are asking that friends, family, and anyone who is willing to help, please assist us in making this treatment obtainable. We are hopeful that he can make a recovery and start enjoying life again!
