Help Maureen's Healing Journey in ICU

This holiday season, our family is facing an unexpected challenge. On Tuesday, November 26, my mom, Maureen, suffered a hemorrhagic stroke caused by an intensely massive brain bleed. Fortunately, my father, Mark, was home and recognized the signs and symptoms and was able to call for Emergency Medical Services almost instantly.

Maureen was transported to Gulf Coast Hospital, where she was immediately subjected to emergency brain surgery to stop the bleeding.

Since then, she has been in the ICU under heavy sedation to help begin the long healing process ahead. Once out of the ICU, she will be moved to the main part of the hospital for an unknown amount of time and then begin occupational, speech, and physical therapies.

I have launched this fundraiser to help raise funds for both of my parents during this journey. My father will be unable to work during this time, and the last concern he needs is bills and finances. It is extremely difficult for us to be asking for help at all, let alone like this.

Mo has always been the kind of person to bring light to everyone’s lives or support others in need, and now the family needs our help. We’re raising funds to cover medical bills, treatments, and ensure they receive the care they deserve. Any contribution, big or small, will mean the world to us during this difficult time.
