As this comes at an incredibly hard time for our family, our mother has been fighting and just lost her battle to Stage 4 breast cancer since her diagnosis in early March 2021.
This is something she has kept to very close friends and family as she was fighting this disease.
Many may know that my mother was the sole bread winner for our family. My father has been out on permanent disability. My mother has worked extremely hard her entire life, some days averaging 18 hour work days to be able to provide and make ends meet for her family. That was before she went on short term disability.
With the help from her children, things have been manageable recently.
Unfortunately, things have taken a turn in the last two weeks and we are looking to our family and friends to support in anyway possible.
For those close to my mother, knows that she always put herself last before her loved ones and gave everything she could in her power too. Whether that was with her work, friends or family - and of course, her passion of giving back and coaching kids in the sport of bowling.
Our family is tough, and one thing she has always instilled in her kids is that family takes care of family. This is something we didn’t imagine would manifest considering how she has been fiercely battling this disease over the past few months. We’re slowly being overwhelmed, and while we know that things still need to be handled, we can’t do this alone.
With much love, the Nardiello’s.
