My dear friend Maureen McGinn moved to Ecuador a few years ago to attend ministerial school and pursue a new path in ministry. She has always worked hard and chose to retire there so she could live simply, affordably, and in alignment with her holistic values. Recently, Maureen discovered a concerning mass on her leg. After it was removed, doctors confirmed it was a very rare and aggressive cancer called sarcoma. A second surgery was required to remove additional tissue and margins. Thankfully, those results came back negative — but with sarcoma, even “clean” margins don’t always guarantee safety. This cancer is known to extend microscopic “wings” beyond the tumor, which means it can return without warning.
Her medical team has strongly recommended radiation treatment to eliminate any remaining cancer cells and give her the best chance at a full recovery. Because she is living outside the U.S., medical costs aren’t covered, and the treatment is far beyond what she can manage alone. I’m asking for help on her behalf. If we each give what we can — even a small amount — we can lift a huge weight off her shoulders and allow her to focus on healing instead of finances.
Every donation helps. Every share helps. Let’s surround Maureen with hope, support, and a path forward. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping her fight this.
