Help Maureen Fight Cancer Again

Hello all, my name is Siobhan Scanlan and my heart is breaking. I am starting this Go Fund Me to help my bestie of 50 years with some of her bills and animals while she goes through yet another battle with cancer. After surviving breast cancer twice, Mo has been diagnosed with 2 other cancers and has begun treatment for the first. All who know Maureen know what a kind, loving, compassionate, hard working, giving person she is. Though she has struggled with this horrible disease in her 20’s, 40’s, and now her 60’s, she ALWAYS keeps a positive outlook on life and always has a smile on her face. Many years ago she sponsored a young boy from Rwanda, Noel, who has grown into a fine young man with a heart as big as hers. This sponsorship turned into a beautiful unofficial relationship of mother and son. Maureen and Noel corroborated together and founded NGO Home for Hope in Rwanda. Always wanting a family, she adopted two beautiful girls, Priska and Faida now 15 & 13 from The Democratic Republic of Congo.

She is a Dog Trainer and therefore has a number of dogs and pets that are always on hand to help with the training of other dogs or doing photo shoots for pet smart. Our friend Maureen Odenwald gives her heart and sole to every one she can. She is the strongest woman that I know. As most of you know she grew up in NY and lives in Tucson Arizona so family is not close to help her with her daily oncology appointments and daily chores. I am here now with her and will be for a few more weeks. The course of this first cancer treatment will be about 4 months including recovery if all goes well. Then they will discuss the details of the second cancer and make a plan for that. She has already lost a month of income and will not be able to get back to her training for quite some time.
