On May 3rd, 2025, Matty’s life changed in an instant. While riding his motorcycle, a driver at a stop sign didn’t see him coming—he had the right of way, but she pulled out, leading to a devastating collision.

Matty was rushed to Parkland Trauma Unit, where, thanks to incredible medical care, his life was saved. His helmet made the difference between survival and tragedy. But his injuries are severe—his entire left leg is broken, along with his left elbow, left wrist, and right wrist.

As of May 20th, Matty has endured eight major surgeries, with more ahead. He remains in the hospital, awaiting stabilization before moving to inpatient rehab.

Matty is a hardworking small business owner who does much of the work himself. Being stuck in a hospital bed shouldn't mean worrying about how to keep his home and business afloat. This is where we can help.
