My name is Angel and I have created this fundraiser for my son Matty. My son is a traveling nomadic artist. He spends the warmer months in Colorado enjoying visits with his daughters, and in the winter months, he goes to Arizona, where he spends the time creating the art and clothing articles that he sells to make his living.

He had just gotten to Arizona and was driving when the van caught on fire. He was able to pull off the road and get his dogs out, but then the van was consumed in flames. The fire station did all it could to put the flames out, but by the time they did, everything my son owned was gone. His grandfather's and sister's ashes, whom he had just lost last year, were in the vehicle along with everything he needed to live and to make a living.

He is currently staying in a borrowed tent in the middle of the desert outside of Quartzsite, waiting to be able to rebuild his life. We need to be able to provide him with basic needs for shelter such as a new tent and sleeping bags, etc., and also be able to put forth so that he may have a vehicle to be able to travel in. The desert is known for huge rainstorms and even flooding. He will need some sort of vehicle to be able to carry his things in and to be able to replenish what he needs to produce more art and clothing to support himself and send to his daughter. Without a new vehicle and basic necessities, he has no way to provide a living and will become another homeless statistic.

Anything you can help us with would be greatly appreciated, and if not, prayers are always appreciated. Thank you so very much from the heart of a very worried mother.
