Help Matt's Family Pay for His Care

Hi, my name is Katelyn and I'm fundraising for a friend of our family. My husband sings with The Old Paths Quartet. Matt and his parents have always been faithful encouragers and supporters of Southern Gospel groups throughout the years. Now it is time for us to support Matt and his family. From Matt's mom, we share his story and his needs:

We are requesting help for medical needs for Matt Allen. Matt is a 41 year old with Down's Syndrome. In January of 2021, Matt came close to death from COVID-19. He spent three weeks on a ventilator with pneumonia. The doctors had given up that he would make it. Through the grace of God, Matt did survive, but complications have resulted in a lesion on his spine that has led to him being wheelchair-bound. There have been other issues requiring many doctors' appointments and physical therapy. Having a wheelchair accessible van would facilitate easier transportation and the ability to go more places. Please consider helping Matt achieve this goal.

Any money donated would go towards purchasing a used wheelchair accessible van for the family, and possibly installing a wheelchair ramp and wheelchair accessible shower in Matt's home.
