Matthew's Medical Funds

On the morning of 2/4, Matthew Bentzin Moore was seriously injured when he lost control of his vehicle and the driver's side door hit a tree. The impact caused brain trauma and left him in a coma for 10 days. On Valentine's Day, he finally awoke from his coma, but he still has a long road to recovery. He broke multiple bones, including his sternum, has a compression fracture, and has a serious abdominal injury. It is also still too soon to assess what level of brain damage he may have sustained. After his stay at the hospital, he will need move to a rehabilitation facility where he will face weeks, and possibly months of rehab.
Matthew is one of the kindest, most selfless people I have ever met. He is so loving and compassionate, and is always willing to help a friend, or stranger, in need. I go to him whenever I need someone to talk to, or need advice about anything. His loving personality also translates to his love for the outdoors. Anyone who has ever talked to Matthew has heard about one of his amazing backpacking trips in Canada. He is an adventure seeker and finds beauty in everything he sees. He is the kind of person we all aspire to be, and I am so fortunate to have him as one of my closest friends. He has helped so many people, including myself, through difficult times, and now it is time to help him.
After hearing about Matthew's accident, I, along with other friends decided to help him and his family by paying for his medical bills. He will be spending a long time in the hospital and the rehabilitation facility, so the costs will add up. All of the money raised through this fundraiser will go towards funding his medical costs. His family has been so grateful for all of the support they have received, and any donation, no matter the size, will help his family in a huge way. ANYTHING HELPS.
