Help Matthew Stevens Heal After Tragic Accident

Hi everyone!
On 11/5/2025 at 4:30 pm, Matthew ‘Skoota’ Stevens was on his way home from work to see his beautiful baby girl, Michelle Lynn, and his kitty, Bruin, when he was suddenly involved in a horrific motorcycle accident at no fault of his own.
He was driving the speed limit with a line of cars behind him when all of a sudden, a careless driver decided to make a left-hand turn on a side road that Matt happened to be passing.
She hit him on his entire left side of his body, causing his bike to land on the stoop of McFarlin’s Feed Store on 41.
The witness directly behind him jumped into action along with several other awesome witnesses to be by his side.
The Florida Highway Patrol relayed to Michelle that when the paramedics arrived within 5 minutes, his heartbeat was nonexistent.
They placed him into a medically induced coma at the scene, and he was rushed to the Trauma Center for emergency surgery.
Michelle and I arrived at 6:30 pm, and they pulled us up to the ICU operating room.
On that insanely long walk down, the OR nurse explained that they had to amputate and give him 5L of blood.
We paced that waiting room for 7 hours before being updated that he was in the ICU observation room.
Heading back to ‘see’ him, I stopped the nurse and asked what we were walking into. We had no idea. He briefed us on the situation:
1. Amputated left foot
2. Heart damage - taking meds to help
3. Hemorrhage on head
Ok. We enter his room. He’s heavily sedated. We, of course, go over and touch his shoulder (the only bare spot that didn’t have tubes or blood) and tell him over and over that we love him.
The PA-C taking care of him comes in and updates us on the rest:
  • Fractured left femur, going in for more surgeries
  • Heart damage - most concerning
  • Broken ribs left side
  • Intubation - for breathing
  • Chest tube - to release air and other things trapped
  • Normal PIC line and artery line for needed meds and such
  • Monitoring lungs
Ok. He’s got this.
Long story short, 24 hours later, his heartbeat is out of rhythm, and they need to shock it if they can confirm he has no clots.
We have no idea what is going to happen; he’s not in the clear.
Michelle is going to be by his side, and without knowing what is going on, the bills still have to be paid.
My goal here is to raise enough to supplement their rent and/or other house bills until we know what is going on so that Shelly can continue to be by his side instead of worrying about work. Everything raised here is going straight to their landlord.
Please donate anything or share this post. I’ll make daily updates on his progress. Thank you everyone for your continued support!
