Matthew O'Brien is, hands down, one of the greatest humans I know. He and I aren't best friends, we didn't grow up together and we don't even hang out or run in the same circles, but I know he's an amazing man. He's a Local 1 plumber/welder, he's an instructor, amazing story teller and former musician, and those are just some of the things he's pretty good at. With what I've witnessed and experienced, and in my humble opinion, what makes him a great human being are things like his generosity, being an amazing husband to his late wife and, most of all, being as strong as a father could be in the face of tragedy. Now I know most of you who took the time to read this understand that this is my personal account of Matt's greatness, but I'm sure many of you who know him would agree. Currently, he's dealing with some health issues and had a recent surgery that had a few complications. He needs our help and we should give it to him.
