Matty's fight with Stage 4 Cancer!

Donation protected

As many of you may already know, Matthew (Matty) McLean has begun the fight of his life with stage 4 cancer at the young age of 43.

Over this past Christmas Matty and his family received the devastating news that he had colon cancer and it has spread extensively into his liver. Matty has already under gone surgery to remove a large tumor in his colon and will continue with aggressive chemotherapy to try and shrink the 9 tumors in his liver. In the upcoming months Matty’s treatments will determined what will happen going forward. We are all praying for a miracle and are hoping that you will pray with us too.

Like the true optimist that Matty is, he is approaching this battle with a positive attitude and fighting spirit.

But this fight for Matty and his family has just begun!

Throughout this battle, Matty will be unable to work due to the intrusive nature of his chemotherapy treatments. Matty has always been a hard worker and significant provider for his family.
Many of you have already asked how you can help and those offers have been deeply appreciated. We are hoping to help Matty, his wife Lindsay and their 3 children, Louise 9 and twins Gray and Annabelle 7  to offset the financial expenses of this extremely difficult journey.

This Go-Fund-Me page has been created as the most practical way for Matty and his family to make use of your support. These funds will go towards treatments, bills, gas, parking, meals and continued support for their children's future.

Matty is an incredible, affectionate and hands on dad to Louise, Annabelle & Gray. He’s a wonderful husband to wife Lindsay and we hope to help them focus on spending time with their 3 children and Matty’s well-being during this particularly challenging diagnosis.

Despite being a triplet himself, Matty is also the self-proclaimed oldest of his 4 siblings, Foster, Jesse, Davina and Ashton. To know him is to love him, whether it was growing up in the Beach, playing lacrosse, being a good neighbour or simply a kind friend. Those of us lucky enough to know him are truly blessed to have him in our lives. Let’s all join Matty, Lindsay and their 3 childern along with their courageous spirits to fight this cruel disease with dignity.

Thank you in advance for your never-ending support, love and prayers. We will continue to update everyone on Matty’s progress throughout his battle.

Sincerely Matthew's Family & Friends
