Help Support Matthew, Hannah, and Baby Riley Through an Unimaginable Crisis

What was meant to be one of the happiest days of their lives quickly turned into a nightmare no one could have prepared for.

On Monday, my best friend Matthew and his wife Hannah welcomed their beautiful baby, Riley, into the world. But during delivery, Hannah suffered a rare and life-threatening complication called an amniotic fluid embolism. She was rushed into emergency surgery to stop the bleeding and ultimately underwent a hysterectomy. Hannah is now on a ventilator, fighting for her life in the ICU.

To make matters even more heartbreaking, baby Riley had to be transferred to a separate hospital and is currently in the NICU. Matthew is now torn between two hospitals, trying to be by the side of both his wife and newborn child—both of whom need him more than ever.

At home, their young daughter Emmy is feeling the impact of this crisis in her own tender way. Her world has been turned upside down, and like her parents, she is navigating a time of great uncertainty and change.

This young family has been hit by an unimaginable crisis—emotionally, physically, and financially. Neither Matthew nor Hannah will be able to return to work anytime soon, and the mounting medical expenses are overwhelming. Their focus right now should be on healing—not on bills, logistics, or impossible choices.
