In 2014, my life changed forever when I was struck by a vehicle. The accident left me with permanent chronic pain and a long list of injuries—both of my legs, my ribs, hip, spleen, and knees were broken. Since then, I’ve had a total of eight surgeries, and every day is a challenge as I try to manage the pain and rebuild my life.

Right now, I’m living in a tent because I simply can’t afford a place of my own. I receive SSDI, but it’s barely enough to cover my basic needs, let alone save for stable housing. Working is extremely difficult for me due to my injuries, but I’m doing everything I can to keep going. I’m reaching out because I need a little help to get back on my feet and find a safe, permanent place to call home.
