Help Matthew Delaney Recover Following Tragic Shooting !
Donation protected
Dear friends and family,
We’re reaching out to rally support for Matthew Delaney, a beloved member of our Mobile community who urgently needs our help. On May 15, 2025, Matthew was the victim of a senseless shooting while sitting outside his home on Foreman Circle.
When the bullet stuck his face it then traveled down his neck and exited through his shoulder. His doctors and surgeons expressed to family and friends it is nothing short of a miracle that the bullet missed major arteries. They did set a clear expectation that his recovery will require additional surgeries therapy and rehab.
Matthew is a dedicated worker known for his deep roots in Mobile. He is presently employed at a local ship agency, working closely with the Port of Mobile, where he brings his steadfast work ethic every day. Many of you may know him from his long-time roles at Azalea Seafood and TP Crockmiers, where his warm personality and dedication left a lasting mark. A proud alum of both St. Pius and McGill-Toolen, Matthew embodies the values of his alma maters. He’s also been a vibrant member of our local whiffle ball league, bringing energy and camaraderie to the field, strengthening our community bonds.
We’ve started this GoFundMe to help ease these burdens. The funds will go directly toward medical expenses, mental health support, physical therapy, and living expenses during his recovery, allowing Matthew to focus on healing and regaining stability. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference.
It's our turn to lift him up. Please consider donating and sharing this fundraiser with others who know and care about Matthew. Together, we can show him he’s not alone in this fight.
Thank you for your generosity and support.
With gratitude,
Delaney Brothers and Sisters
