Help Matthew Buerck beat Cancer once again...

Hi, this page is for our father, Matthew Buerck. We are Matt’s three kids Parisa, Kayleen and Mark and we wanted to help share our fathers story. Just under 5 years ago, late 2017, our dad, Matthew Buerck was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a cancer in his plasma cells. After a hard battle of chemotherapy and weeks in and out the hospital for months on end he was able to recover, and has been in remission for the last couple of years. On March 23, 2022 our dad was at a regular routine blood work appointment and was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, a cancer in his blood and bone marrow. Hours after his diagnosis he was sent to Jersey Shore Hospital and started receiving aggressive chemotherapy a few days later. Matthew is only 57 years old and He has worked so hard to provide us with this wonderful life for not only himself but for his three kids Parisa, Kayleen, Mark and his wife Dawn. He is unable to work for the next 6 months which financially is going to be a huge stress on our family.

 

Our parents were born deaf, making us kids CODA’s (children of deaf adults). The masks have made it extremely challenging for our parents to work during COVID-19 due to the communication barrier. Our parents and family deserve to be able to be there for one another during this extremely hard time and not have to worry about the finances. This GoFundMe will help support Matthew’s weekly hospital trips, chemotherapy, bone marrow transplant and overall bills we will face during this tough time.

 

Kayleen (21) is currently a Senior at James Madison University soon to graduate in May and being away from home during this time has been mentally and emotionally challenging for her. Mark (19) attends Brookdale Community College and works part-time as a grocery clerk and Parisa (24) works full-time as a Food Service Manager. We wanted to find a way to help our family through this challenging time and decided that starting a GoFundMe would be best.

Anything will help, we want our Dad to know how incredibly loved he is and how many people support him so he doesn't feel so alone during his second battle with cancer. We want to help make this already high stress situation a little less stressful for our parents, and truly appreciate the support.
