My brother, Matthew Arrington, was admitted to the hospital on March 24th where they discovered a tumor on his kidney, which they suspect is cancer. Subsequent scans revealed it appears to have spread to his bones and lungs. He has been referred to UT Hospital for cancer treatment such as biopsy, kidney removal, and ongoing cancer medication. This will be a long and difficult road for him, even more so since he doesn't currently have insurance. We are currently working with their financial advocate team to get him assistance and possibly insurance. That insurance won't go into effect until May 1st at the earliest, if we can even get it. He has some money saved, but it won't go very far with the bills he has already accumulated so far and with more to come. We're asking for any assistance you can provide to ease his burden.
