Help Matt Wiles Focus on Healing

IMPORTANT: READ ALL THE WAY THROUGH!

When there is someone in our music community that could use a little help and a gesture of kindness, all of us always rise to the occasion. Matt has been such a great friend and player for all of us over the years. Justin Dawson and I got together to try to rally the troops around Matt and show him some love! Our solution was this fundraiser.

Some of you may know that Matt Wiles has been through some health challenges over the past couple of years and has continued to do as much playing as he can through this process. I don’t want to go into a detailed account of what is happening with Matt just because he would like to maintain his privacy through the process. This is also why I’d like to keep this fundraiser a secret from Matt while we show him some generosity. Matt is a very independent person and loves all of you but would never ask for help like this. With that said, I still find it very important to do something for our friend.

The goal is to make sure Matt has some cushion to focus on healing and being ready for the gigs he will play in the future. I’ve received the go-ahead from Matt’s parents to start this process, and it is important that we do not use social media to spread the word. I REPEAT, DO NOT SHARE THIS TO SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS!
