Hey Everyone! Let me tell you about the love of my life, Matt Taylor. If you know him, what I'm about to say will come as no surprise. But for those that don't know him, Matt is the most giving person I have ever met. He never puts himself first, NEVER. It's God, Family, Friends, Community, Strangers, and then Matt. He has been a volunteer firefighter for over 35 years and loves to serve others.
Matt has been battling kidney disease for over 10 years. Midway through last year, his kidneys started to rapidly decline. He was told he needed to meet with the transplant team to start the process of a kidney transplant. Because he is so loved by many, the amount allowed to sign up to be a match capped out in just a couple of days. On December 28th, we found out that our son, Laine, was a match.
With deductibles, long stays near the hospital after the surgery, new prescriptions, trips back and forth to New Orleans, and whatever else we aren't thinking of, this is going to become costly very quickly. Once the surgery is scheduled, the deductible is needed upfront.
This has been the hardest thing for me to do because we are all about helping others and never asking for help ourselves. If you can donate, thank you. If you can't, it's ok, send your prayers. We take those too. Any money that is not used for these medical expenses will go towards helping someone else.
Thanks in Advance,
Hope
