Let me just start by saying, the magnitude of this situation relative to how great of a person Matt is can only be described in one way: Beyond unfair.

Early Monday morning, while Matt was between shows in San Antonio and New Orleans driving our other friend’s band tour bus, he got the call no one ever wants to receive. His home had been struck by lightning and was on fire. The fire moved fast, and by the time it was out, nearly everything was gone.

Matt's cat Odin, his closest companion and best friend, didn’t make it. Another cat, Marzipan, is missing and likely gone. His third cat, JoJo, was found and is currently in unknown condition at the animal hospital, on oxygen and under observation.

Matt was just days away from moving back home and starting work with me at ResoNix as our new warehouse manager (I really wish that I didnt have to announce this news like this). Instead of coming home to a fresh start and new opportunity, Matt is returning to a heartbreaking situation, and needs support on every level.

He is now left without a home or belongings. On top of that, he is navigating the emotional weight of everything he's just lost.

I’m doing what I can to help, but we are asking for support to help them get through the immediate aftermath, cover vet bills, and assist with anything else that comes up along the way. Whether it’s for temporary housing, basic essentials, or giving them some breathing room to figure out next steps, anything helps.

Thank you to everyone willing to help or even just share this with others. Let’s help Matt and his family begin to rebuild.

To Matt and anyone close to this tragedy, we love you and we are here for you <3
