My friend Matt, who I’ve known for 20 years, is facing an incredibly tough time. He recently lost his car in a serious accident while working as a delivery driver. Because he was on the job, his insurance wouldn’t cover the damages, leaving him without transportation and in a difficult financial spot. Just as he was trying to recover, severe storms brought heavy flooding to his area, destroying his new car and many of his personal belongings. The floodwaters also caused significant damage to his home, and the responsibility for repairs has fallen on Matt’s shoulders. He’s now dealing with the overwhelming task of trying to fix his living space while also replacing what he’s lost.

Matt is one of the most genuine, kind, and funny people I know. He’s always been a hard worker and a loyal friend, respected by everyone who meets him. Even though he has a full-time job, his monthly wages aren’t enough to help him recover from these back-to-back setbacks. Right now, he needs help with getting a reliable car, covering groceries, and making urgent repairs to his home.
