Help Matt Porack fight cancer

Hi, my name is Alicia Porack and I am fundraising on behalf of my brother, Matthew Porack.

 

Those who know my brother, know that he has one of the best hearts and would do anything for the people he loves and cares about. He has been living a life full of spontaneity and adventure. Matt has been living in Florida for some years now. On January 7, 2022, his life changed forever - he was diagnosed with Leukemia. At only age 26, this news was devastating and definitely shocking.

 

What started with some blurry vision in his right eye, got worse in the matter of a couple days and ultimately led him to an emergency room. What he thought would just be an eye irritation treated with some eye drops- suddenly turned into him having cancer. The emergency department drew his blood and moments later the doctor was in the room delivering the life changing news. Matt was alone and had to be transported to a different hospital that could treat his condition in Orlando, FL. After arriving there, he would undergo many painful tests and treatments for the next 10 days.

 

The road ahead is a little unclear and we are not sure what ‘normal’ will look like anymore. Unfortunately, Matt’s leukemia is something he will have to live with forever. Fortunately, there are treatment options that will hopefully allow him to live a long life.

 

That being said, the expenses have already piled up, and no one going through something as terrible as cancer should have to worry about financing it.
