Help Matt March His Ageout!

Hi! I’m Matt and I’m raising money to help pay to complete my final marching season in WGI competition with POW Percussion! This activity is very expensive and I would appreciate any financial assistance you’re willing to provide, no matter the amount. Not only will your donation go towards my membership fees, but also transportation and food expenses.

What is WGI and indoor percussion? Indoor percussion is similar to marching band but we only play percussion instruments (drumline and front ensemble) and we perform indoors, usually in a gym or arena. WGI stands for Winter Guard International. It’s a national competition circuit where groups from all over the country come to compete. I will be spending the next 6 months rehearsing and perfecting a themed show performance that will be judged and pitted against other groups. At the end of the season, I will be traveling to Dayton Ohio for finals competition! There is also an age limit to be involved in this activity. This upcoming year will be my last year (AGEOUT) and final opportunity to compete.

What is POW Percussion? POW is an audition only, Independent World Class percussion ensemble based out of Garden Grove California. This group performs at an extremely high level and scores top 10 in the country! Being a part of this ensemble will challenge me as a musician, provide numerous opportunities for growth, and allow me to share my passion with others. In this group, I am apart of the front ensemble playing the marimba! Think of a really big xylophone.

Music has always been my passion and provides an outlet for me to meet new people and experience new places/events. Once again, I would greatly appreciate any contribution towards helping me finish out my career in the marching arts!
