Help Matt keep his home

Hi, my name is Matt and I’m a self-employed house painter. Business was great for me until the first of the year when suddenly I started having problems with weakness in my legs and terrible back pain and spasms after only a couple hours of work. Now, all of a sudden, I’m having trouble just getting through a day without complete physical exhaustion from something as simple as cooking my own meals. I’m in physical therapy currently and I’m having an MRI on my spine soon, but all the symptoms seem to point to spinal stenosis, a chronic progressive disease that slowly deteriorates the spine due to compression of spinal cord. It’s severely limited my mobility and made it impossible for me to work at all.

As a result, I’m not making any money and I’m broke and my bills are stacking up. If I can’t figure out a solution soon, I’m afraid our utilities will start to be shut off.

So, this is where I’m starting. By asking my friends for help. I’m trying to sell collectibles and collections on eBay and Facebook but getting through the day right now is a terrifying mountain all in itself for me.

Anything you could give would be graciously appreciated. I set the goal at $5000 because I don’t know what kind of medical bills I’ll be facing soon. For right now though, all I have to do is try to keep the gas and water and lights on.
