Help Matt & Jen with unexpected crisis

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Lisa McAndrews and I hoping to raise funds to support my friends Matt & Jenny Peters. Off to Cancun to celebrate, not just one graduation but three graduations, unexpectedly their lives have turned upside down.
On Monday, 5/27/24, Daniel was in an accident. He fractured his skull in two areas and suffered a brain bleed. He has been treated at two private hospitals and the fees are overwhelming. They do not accept insurance.
Emily and Katelyn flew home as scheduled and Matt and Jenny extended their stay until Daniel could be given the ok to fly home.
As of today, Friday, 5/31, Daniel is well enough to finally travel home as of this morning. He has a quite a bit of recovery in front of him, as seek out a neurosurgeon here at home.
Anything you can give to bless my friends to help with the medical expenses would be so appreciated.
Lisa

*Update below
As many of you know by now, on Monday, May 27, Daniel had an accident that fractured his skull in two areas and caused small brain bleeds. We were on our second day in Cancun, celebrating the recent graduations of each of our three kids. Thankfully, we got him the care he needed over the past week so that we could return home and he could be treated in the US. We made it back to the US last night but since Daniel was still having pain and some new symptoms had started, he was transported from LAX to UCLA medical center where he is now. They are taking great care of him.

Thank you to all of you who have called, sent texts, prayed, donated, brought food and been there for us during this time. We are incredibly grateful and feel so blessed by each of you.

In Matthew 18:19-20, God’s Word says,
“Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”

We feel your prayers and are praying in agreement with you for Daniel’s body to be healed. We know that we could not be walking through this alone. We have received messages
from our family, friends, coworkers and even people we have met only once or twice.  We know people are praying and helping us in our communities of Reedley, Selma, Sanger, and Dinuba as well as in Southern CA, the Carolina’s, Georgia, Greece, New Zealand, and Portugal. Wow!!! We are just in awe of it all. Thank you doesn’t seem to truly capture our gratitude. Our words may fall short right now, but please know how touched we are by all of it. We trust in an amazing God who loves us and is always here for us.

Thank you again. I will try to update regularly and answer texts as they come in. Daniel is resting now and getting his body replenished with fluids and nutrients. His injuries are healing as expected. We don’t have a plan for when we will head home, but will try to share that as well since so many have asked.

UPDATE 6/4/24:
Hello all. I have been wanting to send an update but it seems like each time I sit down to do just that, something changes or we have another mini challenge that needs my attention.
First, I want to say THANK YOU. Our family will be forever grateful for the generosity and love that has been shown to us. Many of you have sent messages and included verses, prayers or songs. We have been encouraged and uplifted by these. Others have volunteered to bring a meal when we return home or have sent gift cards to help us with meals during this time. We are so appreciative. And still others have generously gifted us with donations to help offset the costs that were incurred in the hospitals. We are humbled and in awe of your selfless gifts. I’ve read each message more than once and read your names out loud, thanking God for each of you. Thank you…Thank you…Thank you.
After a very long week, and some scary moments, Daniel is finally well enough to head home later today. None of this could have happened without our Faith, Family, and Friends or the incredible care he’s received at UCLA. We are indebted to the nurses and doctors who went above and beyond to care for Daniel. We know this is just the next step and that there is still more ahead for a full recovery. But we trust in an amazing God who loves us and will continue to carry us through.
Thank you again for praying and supporting us.
Jenny, Matt, Emily, Katelyn and Daniel
