Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

I am reaching out to you today on behalf of a dear friend and co-worker, Matt. Matt rose to the challenge of taking on the position of Open Hearts’ Boundless Arts Coordinator. Sadly, Matt is facing an incredibly challenging time. Recently, his father passed away – leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and cherished memories. However, financial support is needed to help cover the remaining expenses after the funeral and to provide a headstone to honor his father's memory.

The funeral home balance is currently $1,200 and we are hoping to obtain assistance to settle this debt. Additionally, funds are needed to purchase a headstone, which is crucial for giving his father a proper resting place and a marker to remember him by.

As if this weren’t enough, Matt's mother is battling an aggressive form of ovarian cancer that has spread to her lungs and breasts. The cancer has progressed to a point where end-of-life care is being considered. This devastating situation has put an immense emotional and financial strain on Matt, who is doing his best to support his mother while mourning the loss of his father.
