Help Matt Heal: Cover Essential Expenses

Hello friends and family! My husband, Matt, and I are facing a difficult situation where an unexpected medical emergency has placed a significant strain us. It's incredibly difficult for us to ask for help because we know many people are struggling right now, but we just don't have much of a choice at this point, unfortunately. Two weeks ago, Matt unexpectedly passed out while at work and hit his head on the concrete. He was rushed to the ER where doctors diagnosed him with facial fractures and also a fracture in his spine. Tests also revealed that Matt has extremely low bone density (pre-osteoporosis) and will need to wear a full back brace for at least 8 weeks as well as take medications/supplements to improve his bone health. In the meantime, Matt will not be able to work. We found out yesterday that worker's compensation will NOT be covering lost wages, only relevant medical bills. While we are extremely grateful for the help from workers comp, our other bills are piling up quickly, and we're honestly struggling to keep up. Matt has filed for temporary unemployment insurance, but it will not provide anything close to his normal wages. We are attempting to raise money to help cover essential expenses, which include rent, car insurance, phone/Internet, groceries, etc. I will also be working as much as I can to support us. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a huge difference in our ability to stay afloat and provide Matt with peace of mind so he can heal properly.
