Update: Sadly on January 18th, my little brother passed away. His wife will now not only face the medical bills, but also funeral costs. Please keep Christa and their 2 children in your prayers as they learn to live life without their husband and father.
Matt Grice has been in ICU in critical care since Dec 21st. We still don't know what the future holds for him. He has a beautiful wife and 2 great kids that need him well. His parents need him well. We all need him.
We appreciate the prayers and outreach so much. Matt's wife, Christa, has been at his side since day 1. She will need to return to work soon (as she has been off to recover from a neck surgery she had right before all of this started with Matt). He has been diagnosed with a rare disease, called Hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH). It is a rare and severe systemic inflammatory syndrome that can be fatal. The medical bills that Christa and Matt are facing will be substantial just from the days in ICU. If (and praying for WHEN) Matt gets better, he will surely need rehabilitation of some kind to regain strength, etc. If you could help lesson the burden this faithful family will have to face in the coming weeks and months, I would greatly appreciate it and I know my brother and his family would be forever grateful. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. We continue to pray for a miracle.
