Help Cross get a car for his cancer appointments
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Tami, and I am reaching out to friends, family and the community on behalf of Matthew "Cross" Summerville. Matt was diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) right before Christmas 2018. People with CLL experience fatigue, weight loss, chronic fever (without other signs of infection) and/or night sweats. Matt has struggles recently with repeated loss of vehicles. A vehicle is very crucial for Matt for a number of reasons. He has very frequent doctor's appointments to monitor his condition and still works full time. Public transportation, although an option, is difficult. He is immunocompromised and should have limited contact with people outside his family as every infection could be life threatening. The fatigue he experiences is immense and walking to and from the bus stops is exhausting after his shifts at work in the restaurant. Matt's potassium levels also occassionally get out of control which causes cramping and trips to the ER, which cannot be done by bus.
Matt's daughter, age 15, lives 5-6 hours away so the only way he can visit her is if he can driver to see her. Matt isn't asking for a new car. He just needs a enough to get a decent used car to get him by and every little bit helps.
Matt routinely helps other and would give the shirt off his back if you needed it, His kindness knows no bounds and he continues to help others despite his current medical condition and financial situation. He just needs a little help and its out turn to give back to him. He isn't asking for help with his medical bills. He just needs a little boost to help get a car to make his situation a little easier.
Thank you.
