Update on Matt’s Journey – Thank You for Your Support
We want to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who has supported Matt through his GoFundMe page. Your generosity, kind words, and encouragement have meant the world to him and our family during this incredibly challenging time.
Matt’s medical case is currently under review by the transplant board. Once approved, he will be placed on several liver transplant lists, including out-of-state options, to increase his chances of receiving a donor match as soon as possible.
He continues to experience both good days and tough ones, but through it all, he remains incredibly humbled and thankful for the love and support surrounding him. Your contributions are not just helping with medical expenses—they’re giving him hope and strength to keep fighting.
We kindly ask that you continue to support Matt in any way you can—whether it’s through donations, sharing his GoFundMe page, keeping him in your prayers, or simply sending love and positive thoughts. Every bit of support makes a difference and helps us move closer to the goal of getting Matt the care he needs.
Thank you for being part of this journey with us. We’ll continue to keep you updated as we move forward.

Hi everyone,
I'm reaching out on behalf of my best friend Carla DuVall’s husband, Matt DuVall, a kind and devoted man who is now facing the fight of his life. In April 2024, he was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver — a devastating condition that was not caused by alcohol but has still taken a serious toll on his health and his family’s life.
Since the diagnosis, his condition has worsened, and he is now in urgent need of a liver transplant to survive. The journey has been incredibly difficult — physically, emotionally, and financially. He’s been unable to work, and the loss of income has made it nearly impossible to keep up with everyday bills, let alone the mounting medical expenses.
Despite everything, he remains a loving husband, a proud father, and a joyful grandpa — the kind of person who lights up a room with his presence and always puts a smile on your face. Now, he and his family need our help.
We’re raising funds to help cover:
• Medical bills and transplant-related costs
• Travel and lodging for treatment
• Everyday living expenses while he’s unable to work
Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to giving him a second chance at life. If you’re unable to give, please consider sharing this fundraiser, your support means the world.
Thank you for standing with this family during this critical time.
