Help Matt, Casey, Kat, and Ellie Rebuild Home

hello! If you don’t know us, we’re Matt, Casey, Kat and Ellie Welsh. Late August we heard a spraying noise in the wall between our bathrooms. My husband opened the hall bath wall behind the vanity only to find the pipe fitting had broken and water was spraying and pooling. By the time he got the wall between both bathrooms open we discovered there was a pretty large amount of black mold already present. Fast forward 2 months, both bathrooms are entirely gutted leaving us without a home and scattered in several places that is not at all ideal. Our homeowners insurance, Progressive, had approved our claim but had no available contractors leaving us to do all of the work ourselves or find contractors to hire ourselves. 5 weeks into the process Progressive decided to retract approval and deny our claim out of nowhere leaving us to not only figure out how to pay to repair and renovate the house but now we have to fight the insurance company for bad faith. When the walls were opened the water and mold damage had spread through the entire hall bath, under the floorboards, down the heat vent into the ducting and essentially damaging our furnace and then into the master bathroom, under the shower floor, the entire wall, the tile floor and into the storage closet making it so we had to tear the entire master bathroom out as well. This also includes the dry wall connecting the hall bath to the laundry room and also the back kitchen wall. The entire repairs, including the a new furnace, is quoted at around 50k…..The mold has to be entirely mitigated and sprayed including the crawl space where the water pooled into, the rest of the house will have to be thoroughly cleaned to make sure all spores have been killed. Unfortunately my health makes it so I cannot enter the house until this has been done as I have Epilepsy, Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and Lupus. Most of you know both girls were born premature and because of that still struggle with asthma and their immune systems and Ellie has Autism so the messed up living situation and no consistency is having a huge impact on her. We just want to start renovating so we can get home while we fight the insurance company. Any help is greatly appreciated by our family.
