Hello, my name is Matt, and I’m a computer programming teacher building Programmers Playground, a project that means a great deal to me. Over the years, I’ve seen how exciting programming can be, but I’ve also seen how discouraging it can feel for people who are just getting started. Too many learners run into complicated tools, expensive software, and platforms that don’t feel welcoming or accessible. I started Programmers Playground because I wanted to create something different: a place where beginners, students, educators, and experienced programmers can write code, experiment, learn, and build with confidence. My goal is to make technology feel more approachable and give people a space where curiosity and creativity can thrive.
Building this platform is an ongoing commitment, and the financial needs continue as the project grows. Support will help me keep up with recurring costs like website hosting, servers, and domain expenses, while also helping me improve performance, reliability, and security over time. Donations will also help me develop new coding tools and features, create better experiences for students, educators, and developers, add community and collaboration features, and continue growing the platform without putting essential tools behind expensive barriers. In the future, I hope to build systems that help support and reward developers for the value they bring. If you believe in accessible technology and a better place to learn and create, I would be deeply grateful for your help. Recurring donations would provide steady support for the ongoing costs of maintaining and improving Programmers Playground, and one-time donations are also incredibly meaningful and helpful. If you’re not able to give, sharing this fundraiser with friends, students, educators, and programmers would mean so much to me.
