This fundraiser is for Matt Balent and is the result of two unfortunate events in my life. The loss of my employment due to project cancellation and a kidney cancer diagnosis after routine medical screening. Both of these events occurred the week of October 13, 2025. I have had no symptoms of the cancer, in fact I feel great.

The amount desired represents two months of COBRA premiums to continue health insurance for myself and my family after which time I will be covered by Medicare.

The largest community of people who would know of me are Role Playing Gamers as I wrote a number of very popular titles in the 1980's, primarily as an author and production assistant with Palladium Books in Detroit, MI. I have also re-written and published a new edition of my RPG 'The Valley of the Pharaohs - 40 Anniversary Edition' earlier in 2025.
