Help Matt and Yuki Escape Homelessness

My partner Yuki and I (due to unexpected and extremely sudden circumstances) are homeless and living in a very unsafe hotel and one step way from living in a tent on the street.

In the 2.5 years since the economic effects during and after COVID, we have made countless efforts to try to correct the situation before it got to this point. After numerous health problems over the last 3 years as well as job cuts/layoffs, personal loss, and being denied assistance from various programs, we find ourselves at this dangerous hotel, one step away from the street.

The combination of companies cutting positions and mounting physical injuries and wear and tear from my touring over the years (as well as other health issues)--the my scope of jobs that I am able to execute has become much more limited, and despite mountains of evidence, I remain on appeal for assistance, and we are out of time.

Moving out of state is not an option for various health, long-term life plans, and personal reasons for both of us.

The money that we are asking for is literally survival money to get us out of this hotel and back into an apartment again and to keep our phones from being turned off and to keep both of us from losing storage spaces that contain decades of family/personal items that cannot be replaced, which includes items from my late mother who passed away suddenly in 2022.

We do not have a car either, as it was repossessed.
