Hey team, friends, family, etc - Let's all get together to pitch in a bit of help for one of our own!

A couple weeks ago our awesome Matt Hall (who works on the IT Help Desk for anyone who doesn't know) and his girlfriend Michelle were moving to a new apartment.

They were moving stuff from their old place to the new one in both their car and their friend's who was helping them. When they got to the new apartment it started to rain and they decided to not unload all of their most valuable belongings from their car (electronics, computers, etc) until it stopped. After coming down to grab a second load from their friend Anna's car they saw smoke rising up over the apartment complex and found their car completely on fire.

By the time the fire department got there everything in their car had been destroyed as well as the car.

I had suggested starting a GoFundMe when it first happened but they were under the impression that insurance would help cover this. As anyone knows who has had a car totaled by insurance, it never works out very well.

Matt and Michelle were given a couple thousand dollars for their car and that's it. They're out around $15,000 from all of the stuff they lost and now don't have a car as they shared one together.

Anyone who wants to pitch in and help it would really appreciated. I always find it great how WorkSTEPS can band together to help as a community :)
