Saturday, January 21st, tragedy struck Laura & Matt's friendly Foxon Rd. home. While the newly engaged couple were out running errands and working, a freak fire started in their basement and smoke filled and ultimately ruined their home and took the lives of their two sweet cats, Rocko and C.C.
Laura and Matt are devastated but have seen an outpour of love from family and friends and are truely humbled. Friends have taken them in for immediate shelter while they look for a new place to call home.
For anyone that knows Matt & Laura, know that they are not materialistic. They know, aside from the loss of their two cats, the rest of their loss were only "things". Without this GoFund me page, they would find a way to make it work, but there are many people reaching out expressing their wishes to help and this is the easiest way. When people lose their homes and their beloved pets, it's often hard to wrap their heads around ALL of the things that one uses in a day to day. Starting with something as important as a bed and mattress, to other essential items like paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, and if you ask Laura, wine glasses. They will need to start over completely to furnish a home and put clothes on their back and food in their refrigerator.
Again, Laura and Matt are humbled by the outpouring of love and assistance that everyone has offered and when they find a way and a how to thank you, they will.
