Help Matt Adkins Heal and Return to Music

Hello,

Last Sunday, my husband, Matt Adkins woke up with really high blood pressure, slurred speech and a facial droop. I immediately brought him to the hospital, and he was admitted for a stroke. After 5 days of working on stabilizing his Blood pressure and other issues, he was released home. As many of his friends know, he has not been quite himself this past year and has been battling severe stress and grief. Many fans and friends have noticed and asked me because and something was “off” with him recently. We now know why. His blood pressure was uncontrollable even with medications and it ultimately caused his stroke. We are all hoping that he makes a full recovery with prayers and therapy and medication. Unfortunately, Matt does not have insurance. At this time his vision, speech, hands, and walking are affected. He will not be able to work for a while until he recovers. He is unable at this time to play guitar or sing but is looking forward to that again soon. Many people have asked to help, and I’m not even sure what we need yet. I just know that he will have therapy, medications, doctor appointments and he doesn’t have any insurance. That compiled with the cost of living is a heavy burden- I am not one to ask for help, but I will swallow my pride for Matt. I will be by his side to help him recover and get back to playing music and living life. I am the only one that can work right now so anything is helpful and appreciated and will help cover food, house payment, utilities, gas, and medical expenses. We also need all the prayer you can send. It IS working!
